I chose this type of licensing because I wanted a certain level of control and privacy over my work. I have no idea what I plan to write in my blogs, but if I write something personal or come up with a thought I'm particulary proud of, I don't want people reproducing it, using it for their own purposes, or manipulating what I've written. At least if someone likes something I said or wants to use it in a certain way, they have to go through me, first. Overall, it's just nice to know that I have basic control over my written thoughts and am free to express them without having to worry about someone taking credit for my work or making me look like I wrote something that I didn't.
{{nice work backing up your assertions and spelling out problems you sought to avoid by choosing the license you did.}}
