Reminder to start working on REVISION of previous paper, which is due one week from today, on FriApr14. Guidelines for revision:
- read the essay in its entirety: how persuasive is it? why?
- do you want to change certain things? why? reflect on your thoughts about the topic and make a smoother flow to the paper.
- look at use of figurative language: are you using symbols/similes to make your points clear to your audience?
- could you use an analogy to establish a part of the argument you're making?
- consider using a brief narrative or representative example to set the scene and/or close the paper
- is there need for brief definitional arguments to explain how you're using key terms or phrases?
- is there a need to briefly say something about the "cause" of something as you bring it up in your essay?
- proofread!
